Mrs Kori Spruce -Lead Counselor Goc-Hof

Kori Spruce is the Lead Counselor at Dawson High School, bringing more than 25 years of experience in education and student support services, with over 20 years in Pearland ISD. She has been a member of the Dawson High School community since 2008 and has served as Lead Counselor since 2017.

As a proud military brat, Mrs. Spruce experienced frequent moves and transitions throughout her childhood, an experience that shaped her understanding of the challenges students face when adapting to new environments, schools, and expectations. This background fuels her passion for helping students navigate change, build resilience, and find their place within their school community.

In her role, Mrs. Spruce provides leadership within the counseling department and collaborates with students, families, teachers, and administrators to support academic achievement, personal growth, and (her personal favorite) postsecondary planning. She is committed to helping students identify their strengths and develop clear pathways toward college, career, and life readiness.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Mrs. Spruce enjoys spending time with her family as a wife and sports mom to two children. She also enjoys reading, traveling, and relaxing at the beach.
