Hello Eagles and Eagle Parents!

My name is Dr. Shara Aston Schlitzberger. I will be the Professional School Counselor for 9th-12th Graders with last names beginning with Mas-Poi. My purpose and mission is to help my students succeed academically, socially and emotionally during their high school years. This is my 10th year as a school counselor. I was a classroom teacher for eight years prior to becoming a counselor. I am completing my licensed professional counselor certification and will be fully certified as an LPC in August 2023. I am also a parent of two daughters in high school in Pearland ISD and a stepparent to two former students who have already graduated from Pearland ISD, so I am truly in the same boat with you both as your school counselor and for your parents. I am here to walk alongside both my parents and students and be part of your village! 

PS: My nickname is Dr. Cheeseburger. Just in case you are wondering, I did not make up the name itself, although I love cheeseburgers! When I taught 1st Grade before I became a School Counselor, a student in my class could not remember that my name was Mrs. Schlitzberger on the first day of school. He thought my name was Mrs. Cheeseburger and officially called me Mrs. Cheeseburger! When I became a counselor in Pearland ISD, my nickname quickly spread and it has stuck with me for 11 years! I love it and that a student came up with it! Feel free to call me by my nickname Dr. Cheeseburger or Dr. Schlitzberger works, too! :)
